Description
Meet the sculptor Pere Sala exclusively at the Circo gallery in Honfleur (France) and Knokke (Belgium).
This captivating sculpture features a seated female figure in an oval basin, meticulously crafted in green patinated bronze, lending an organic softness to the work. The woman's meditative posture, arms crossed on her knees, evokes serene contemplation, while the delicate details of her hairstyle add an intriguing textural dimension. The dark metal base contrasts superbly with the green patina, accentuating the figure and creating an elegant play of shadows. This masterpiece seamlessly blends classical and contemporary elements, transforming a moment of personal introspection into a fascinating sculptural exploration. The artist succeeds in capturing not only the physical body, but also the spiritual essence of tranquility. A remarkable example of refinement and contemplation, this piece challenges traditional perceptions with its bold modernist aesthetic.
Presentation
Pere Sala presents a work of classical root but with very contemporary connotations, both in terms of the theme and the great dynamism of its compositions.
His bronzes remind us of the great masters of the 19th century, due to their great mastery of technique, finishes and patinae. The artist wisely models female and male bodies in equilibrium positions but never forced, capturing with great delicacy the energy, beauty and indolence of youth until it reaches the viewer's emotion.
