Description
This bronze sculpture depicts a seated woman, elegantly coiffed, in a posture that is both introspective and graceful. Her crouched position, with her knees raised, suggests a vulnerability that contrasts with the strength exuded by the fluid lines of her body. The bronze offers a captivating play of light on the curves and angles of the figure, accentuating the detailed texture of the hair and drapery. The attention to detail, particularly in the facial features and expressive posture, makes this a singular work, evoking both classical beauty and bold modernity. This subtle balance between tradition and innovation gives the sculpture a captivating and timeless presence, provoking in the viewer a profound reflection on femininity and contemplation.
Presentation
Elisabeth and Régis
Four-handed sculptures
From clay, I imagine, I shape my creation: "the woman". During this particular exchange a dialogue is established between the earth and me, a form will come to life which will find its expression through my hands.
Régis, for his part, will ensure its durability through very gradual cooking that will protect the integrity of the clay. A patina will give it a light make-up, like a woman would make herself beautiful.
This is how our sandstone and bronze sculptures are made by four hands.
Passion that we love to share.
