This captivating work presents four human figures seated atop a large, textured square in shades of green, evoking a landscape or mineral surface. The figures, rendered in deep black, contrast powerfully with the vibrant background, creating an intriguing visual harmony. The figures lack facial details, suggesting a universality that prompts reflection on identity and community. Their relaxed posture and proximity evoke an atmosphere of camaraderie and collective contemplation. The simplicity of the forms, combined with the richness of the colors, offers a striking juxtaposition that immediately captures the viewer's attention. The green square, with its subtle variations, enhances the depth and adds an almost mystical dimension. This piece stimulates introspection on the relationship between the individual and the collective, humanity and nature.

[This series is one of my "favorite" series.]
It evokes themes of childhood, family, friendship, and first times. I started it just after the COVID period, a time when many of us somewhat forgot the importance of family, parents, and loved ones…
With this series, I wanted to highlight the essential connections that nourish our lives. This sculpture, designed to be hung on the wall, invites us to experience sculpture in a different way.
It was cast by one of my partner foundries, specializing in hot patinas, where it received a remarkable finish, giving it all its warmth and depth. Each sculpture is produced in an edition of 8, available in two different colors.
