Description
This striking work captures the essence of movement through a dynamic and captivating sculpture. A delicately sculpted human body appears suspended in mid-air, defying gravity. The slender silhouette, painted in graduated shades of turquoise and brown, evokes the harmonious transition from movement to stillness. This figure, reclining and framed by a minimalist metal structure, creates a striking contrast between the softness of the human form and the geometric rigidity of the frame. This juxtaposition underscores the tension between freedom and constraint, movement and stillness. The artist succeeds in breathing incredible life into this frozen moment, sparking the viewer's imagination. The meticulous attention to anatomical curves and minute details testifies to exceptional technical mastery. A bold celebration of the fluidity and beauty of the human body.
Presentation
Pere Sala presents a work of classical root but with very contemporary connotations, both in terms of the theme and the great dynamism of its compositions.
His bronzes remind us of the great masters of the 19th century, due to their great mastery of technique, finishes and patinae. The artist wisely models female and male bodies in equilibrium positions but never forced, capturing with great delicacy the energy, beauty and indolence of youth until it reaches the viewer's emotion.
