Artwork location: France
This contemporary artwork, created by French artist SKE, is an XXL 40cm wall clock that achieves an iconic fusion of horological luxury and the social commentary of Street Art, inspired by Banksy's style.
It is part of the "Certified Hope Forever" series, whose central theme is the ironic confrontation between the unattainable ideal (hope/innocence) and certification by luxury (the watch brand).
The piece appropriates the image of the prestigious Swiss watchmaker Patek Philippe Genève, here used as a backdrop for the artistic message.
Banksy Theme and Reference: The artwork features Banksy's iconic figure, the girl with a balloon ("Girl With Balloon"), a symbol of innocence and lost or unattainable hope. Here, the girl is a white silhouette, reaching out towards a red heart-shaped balloon amidst a starry sky.
"Celestial" Dial: The dial is a deep midnight blue, studded with tiny stars and a crescent moon, evoking a dreamlike sky or a celestial map.
The Motto: The title of the work, "CERTIFIED HOPE FOREVER," is ironically inscribed on the back. As artist SKE has stated for other pieces in the series, this phrase serves as a reminder that hope and love are values that luxury cannot buy, yet attempts to "certify."
Functionality: While a work of art, this is a functional clock made of metal and glass, with a silent mechanism.
- Style and Message:
The artwork is an excellent example of Pop Art/Street Art that critiques and utilizes brand culture. It creates a dialogue between the precision and enduring value of luxury watchmaking (Patek Philippe) and the fragility of hope and innocence (Banksy's little girl). The XXL size enhances the visual impact and transforms this wrist accessory into a powerful artistic statement for the wall.

Presentation
SKE is a self-taught, all-around French artist who was immersed in the culture of the 80s/90s, inspiring a large majority of his artistic works.
He constantly explores new techniques: acrylic painting , collage , stenciling , graffiti, urban installations, and digital art. His dynamic and expressive compositions, often with a double meaning, combine the raw energy of street art and the visual impact of pop art.
After an exceptional 2025, SKE's popularity has risen remarkably. Winner of the first prize in the Urban Master competition (2023), then elected Revelation of the Year at the Color Jam Challenge (2025).
SKE was selected as "Artist of the Month" by the Opulence gallery in October, and he also benefited from a feature in an American art magazine, confirming his international recognition.
His works have already been exhibited in major venues in Europe, the United States, and Asia, solidifying his place on the contemporary art scene. Simultaneously, SKE is also making his mark in the digital art market, a major trend of the last two years, further enhancing the appeal of his creations to collectors.
Icons of popular culture, bold graphics and plays on textures characterize a style that is now essential.
SKE is undoubtedly an artist to follow, to start or enrich a collection with a rising value.
