Description
This sculptural work depicts a remarkably detailed male bust mounted on a simple metal pedestal. The realistic surface texture highlights the expressive features and full beard, lending the piece striking depth and authenticity. The contrast between the smooth, industrial base and the textured bust accentuates the duality between art and raw material. The way light plays across the sculpture's details reveals masterful technical skill. This work embodies the harmonious fusion of humanity and art, capturing the timeless essence of a significant figure. The piece is distinguished by its ability to evoke a historical personality while remaining timeless and universal. Exemplifying the impact of realism in contemporary sculpture, this bust is an impressive reflection on human nature and its artistic legacy.
Presentation
Originally from Île‑de‑France, MarielauTerre — the pseudonym of Marie‑Laurence Codini — lives and creates on the edge of the Rambouillet forest, where she has drawn constant inspiration from the surrounding natural beauty since 2005.
Coming from a family of Franco‑Italian artists, the Codini, she chose modeling as her preferred means of expression. She explores clay, bronze, glass paste, and crystal, sometimes combining them within a single piece to enrich both material and light.
Since 2020, MarielauTerre has been a listed artist, and her commitment is also reflected in regular donations to charitable organizations made through her sales.
