Description
This striking sculpture depicts a female figure cast in bronze with warm, deep reflections. Standing on a pedestal, the woman adopts a confident and contemplative pose, holding a mirror in her hand. The contrast between the smooth softness of her skin and the rougher textures of her clothing and the pedestal creates a rich and expressive visual dialogue.
The delicate, lace-like patterns emanating from her garment evoke both fragility and power, revealing the figure's duality. The precise handling of textures, shadows, and volumes highlights the artist's technical mastery and sensitivity, lending the work an elegant, vibrant, and timeless presence.
Presentation
Originally from Île‑de‑France, MarielauTerre — the pseudonym of Marie‑Laurence Codini — lives and creates on the edge of the Rambouillet forest, where she has drawn constant inspiration from the surrounding natural beauty since 2005.
Coming from a family of Franco‑Italian artists, the Codini, she chose modeling as her preferred means of expression. She explores clay, bronze, glass paste, and crystal, sometimes combining them within a single piece to enrich both material and light.
Since 2020, MarielauTerre has been a listed artist, and her commitment is also reflected in regular donations to charitable organizations made through her sales.
