LOVE UNDER THE SURFACE, 2026

Vivianne Paris Panigiris

Love Under the Surface reflects love as a quiet, enduring force—one that grows beneath visibility, shaped by time, care, and connection. Drawing from the ocean’s hidden ecosystems, the sculpture uses coral forms as a metaphor for relationships built slowly and patiently, layer by layer. Like coral reefs, love is fragile yet resilient, sustained through interdependence and quiet devotion rather than spectacle.

The sea becomes both setting and symbol: fluid, expansive, and constantly in motion. It mirrors love’s ability to evolve while remaining anchored in trust and shared experience. Though unseen at first glance, its depth is immense, holding memory, transformation, and emotional gravity.

Through its sculptural presence, Love Under the Surface honors love as a living structure—shaped by shared currents, strengthened through vulnerability, and enduring in its stillness. It invites us to see love not as fleeting, but as something cultivated slowly, growing beneath the surface with patience and intention.
