"Transcendence (Sasha II)" captures the unmatched realism and technical precision that can only be achieved by Richard MacDonald. MacDonald is famous for capturing the grace and strength of bodies in motion; In "Transcendence (Sasha II)," the push and pull of the delicate figures, the subtle drape of the fabric, and the longing expressions all highlight that passion.
Richard MacDoanld's neo-realist sculptures are a timeless homage to classical Roman-Greco art, made evident by the classical lines and eye for detail in this work. The medium of sturdy bronze adds an additional weighty, timeless quality to the work.
This version of "Transcendence (Sasha II)" measures 53 1/8" high x 20 1/4" x 12 1/2". It is from an edition of 75 that is signed, numbered, and dated on the base. Purchase of this work includes a certificate of authenticity from our gallery, Modern Artifact.
