Description
Medium: Hand Blown Glass
Inscription: Signed and Titled by artist "Paul J. Stankard, Experimental"
Documentation: Includes Gallery Certificate of Authenticity
Known primarily for his environmental paperweights, Paul Stankard makes a bold departure in his appropriately title sculpture "Experimental with Face", Stankard places a human face in the center of his oval sculpture composition and surrounds it with natural elements.
Every aspect of Paul Stankard's "Experimental with Face" is blown by hand and assembled by the artist. The details are so delicate and life-like, many observers believe the botanicals and insects are actually real, preserved from nature rather than man-made. The inclusion of human face in this work demonstrates Stankard's range, innovation, and compositional storytelling.
Paul Stankard's "Experimental with Face" measures 2.25" x 2.75". The piece is signed and titled "Paul J. Stankard, Experimental" and comes with a gallery certificate of authenticity from Modern Artifact.
