Description
The bear's form is cut into geometric facets, giving the sculpture an abstract and angular appearance. The bear is depicted lowering its head, observing what remains of the ice and its territory.
It is placed on a pyramidal base, forming an integral part of the sculpture.
Soft shadows accentuate the facets of the bear, highlighting the simplicity and elegance of the sculpture.
There is an artistic and minimalist atmosphere.
Presentation
Born in 1965, Sophie Larroche has been practicing modeling for over 20 years.
Always attracted by the visual arts, she attended many workshops. Painting, drawing and modeling of the earth, with a particular affection for the sketches of living models.
In 1999, it was in Danièle Dekeyser's studio that Sophie Larroche discovered profile sculpture in front of live models. For 4 years, she will work the earth only on the human body, in front of the models and on the anatomy boards. She seeks to reveal the beauty and emotion emanating from the bodies.
The environmental emergency upsets her and pushes her to get involved in a charity. His work as a sculptor is mixed with his personal investment: to challenge the beauty of nature and its fragility.
Sophie Larroche exhibits regularly in Art Fairs and Exhibitions. She meets a curious public and seduced by her sculptures loaded with emotions and splendor of our world.
