Description
Numbered 1/8
Artculture foundry stamp.
This bronze sculpture depicts a polar bear in a majestic pose, its head raised to the sky. The choice of material offers a textured rendering, evoking the harshness and simplicity of the Arctic environment. The finely sculpted lines capture the power and grace of this iconic animal, while preserving a refined form. The play of light on the rough surface accentuates the contours and adds a vibrant dimension to the work. This work skillfully combines realism and abstraction.
Presentation
Born in 1965, Sophie Larroche has been practicing modeling for over 20 years.
Always attracted by the visual arts, she attended many workshops. Painting, drawing and modeling of the earth, with a particular affection for the sketches of living models.
In 1999, it was in Danièle Dekeyser's studio that Sophie Larroche discovered profile sculpture in front of live models. For 4 years, she will work the earth only on the human body, in front of the models and on the anatomy boards. She seeks to reveal the beauty and emotion emanating from the bodies.
The environmental emergency upsets her and pushes her to get involved in a charity. His work as a sculptor is mixed with his personal investment: to challenge the beauty of nature and its fragility.
Sophie Larroche exhibits regularly in Art Fairs and Exhibitions. She meets a curious public and seduced by her sculptures loaded with emotions and splendor of our world.
