This wooden sculpture plays with the codes of toy design, street art, and pop culture to create a character that is both endearing and irreverent. Its geometric silhouette, built around a disproportionately large cubic head, evokes the world of contemporary collectible figurines while retaining a handcrafted and expressive dimension.

Covered in a vibrant yellow leopard print, it immediately catches the eye with its visual energy. The sunny yellow contrasts with the black and brown spots, creating a graphic rhythm reminiscent of both the wild animal and iconic fashion prints. This feline skin transforms the character into a hybrid creature, somewhere between a toy, a wild beast, and an urban icon.

The face, reduced to a few black marks on a white background, possesses a remarkable symbolic power. A round eye, a cross-shaped eye, and a sewn-up mouth compose an ambiguous expression, oscillating between innocence, melancholy, and irreverence. This minimalist language allows each viewer to project their own emotions onto it, making the sculpture a true emotional mirror.

The deliberately naive proportions, the large, erect ears, and the simplified limbs reinforce its playful character. Yet, behind this apparent lightness lies a reflection on identity, masks, and individuality. The zipper depicted on the torso suggests the idea of a character who could open to reveal another personality, an inner world concealed behind its graphic appearance.

Halfway between an art object, a pop sculpture and an imaginary companion, this work asserts a joyful and quirky presence, capable of bringing a touch of contemporary whimsy to an interior while retaining a true artistic force.
