Description
The energy of street art takes hold here of an iconic urban medium. The skateboard deck becomes a raw field of expression. A deep blue dominates the composition, punctuated by black splatters and sprays. This textured background evokes the dynamism of the city and perpetual motion.
At the center, white letters intertwine with vigor. The line is rapid and confident, typical of graffiti codes. Geometric shapes and sharp angles create a stark contrast with the colorful chaos of the background. This layering plays with the balance between legibility and abstraction.
The overall effect exudes an immediate graphic power. The whiteness of the lettering seems to float upon an ocean of pigments. The choice of medium anchors the creation in a contemporary and casual culture. The visual rendering emphasizes the tension between the precision of the gesture and the random nature of the paint splatters. The object is transformed into a wall piece where visual rhythm takes precedence over semantics.
Presentation
He discovers graffiti in the late-80s, at the beginning of the Graffiti / Hip Hop movement.
Even after many years of work in this medium, he is always enthusiastic to talk about graffiti. And even if the world of ?vandalism? has changed, ZENOY is still productive and full of ideas. His ideas and concepts are fertile and he has become recognized, little by little, by the contemporary art world.
