Description

This sculpture captures a moment of animal grace. The white form emerges with a soft, matte finish. It suggests the fluid movement of a canine in mid-stride. The artist emphasizes volume over detail. Smooth curves define the back and haunches. A subtle tension resides in the arched tail. Light plays across the surface to reveal organic contours. The silhouette remains minimalist yet expressive. It evokes a sense of quiet alertness. The piece rests firmly on small dark points. This contrast anchors the ethereal white body to the ground. The artwork balances abstraction with recognizable anatomy. Every line flows toward a singular direction. It transforms a simple animal figure into a study of rhythm and shape. The composition focuses on the purity of the silhouette. It reflects a sophisticated approach to figurative sculpture. The pale tone enhances the sculptural shadows. This results in a timeless visual presence.

Presentation

Mariano Alvarez

He is a multifaceted artist, painter, musician, composer, and screenwriter.

He was born in Buenos Aires in 1970, but when his father's work was very small, he took the family to El Chocón, Pcia de Neuquén in the Argentine Patagonia, where one of the most important hydroelectric dams in the country is located. In this place he began his artistic training, the origin of his inspiration and the genesis of the spirit of his work. Here Mariano was trained in a self-taught way, in the hands of parents who love art and music, in an environment without television. That was very important to develop your imagination and creativity. At the time he spent in El Chocón, the home of the Alvarez was the cultural center of gathering of the small town, where engineers, artists and workers came from different parts of the world.

The hydroelectric power station in the middle of the desert, the force of the natural combined with monumental engineering works; the hand of man intervening in the landscape, modifying the course of the rivers, the layout of mountain ranges and the vastness of the desert to generate the energy necessary for the development of life. In Alvarez's work, all these variables transmute into lines. Their freehand lines are alive, they are the raw material of thought and feeling, they exist on this plane, but in a free state. Without processing. They are part of everything we know, in the architecture of cities, in the planes, in the shapes of objects and in the essence of music and even in microorganisms and sacred crystals. It is not something abstract, it exists, they are real. They allow the mind and emotions to fire. Everyone in their own way.

In this way his drawings and paintings are spaces where the energy networks that surround us are manifested but which we cannot see with the visual spectrum. A bridge between the spiritual and material world. Somehow he perceives and plasma them. It is the energy with which we work the thoughts that we then mix with the feelings to provoke an emotion in a concrete act in this physical dimension.

The study of energy will be a constant search throughout his life, both in the artistic and philosophical field. Search that will go on in a self-taught and experimental way.

For Alvarez, artistic expression is an inner journey towards consciousness. Try to create something that does not exist on the planet and does not usually plan the composition beforehand. It responds to internal energetic movements with references but always in an experimental direction.

Intermittently the artist's life will oscillate between Patagonia and Buenos Aires, the city where the artist lives today. The great metropolis is also present in his work. A wonderful and complex city, an energetic pole inhabited by many people who come and go, by thousands and thousands of consciences and thoughts that travel at a speed faster than light, each one unique and at the same time only a small fragment of the great universal consciousness

The goal of their productions is always to raise awareness. His and that of his small and large community: “As consciences we are connected and traversed by a multitude of complex energies, connected at the same time as a great collective conscience. Our material universe is crossed by sound, thermal, transmission waves. Imagine the universe or extraphysical thinking ... Somehow, this influences my work, generating planes in different dimensions that are not governed by the laws of physics or traditional geometry. I don't draw something that I know but, nevertheless, I could be expressing many things. Extraterrestrial DNA chains. Multidimensional energy maps. Plans of industrial machines that have not yet been created "
