Life in Motion (s), 2025

Marc De Corte

“Life in Motion" is an invitation to let go, to breathe, and to move freely with life.

In this graceful figure, Marc de Corte captures a woman suspended between strength and lightness. Her body seems to rise from the earth while her arms open towards the sky, as if she were embracing an invisible force — a dream, a desire, a new possibility.

There is something deeply joyful in her movement. She does not simply dance; she seems to surrender to life itself. Her closed eyes and serene expression suggest a moment of complete presence, when the outside world disappears and only the feeling of being alive remains.

The smooth, sensual curves of the bronze give the sculpture an extraordinary sense of fluidity. Every line seems to continue into the next, creating a body that feels less like a static figure and more like a movement captured for a single, precious instant.

“Life in Motion" speaks of freedom, femininity and the courage to follow one's own rhythm. It is a sculpture that brings energy into a space — a quiet reminder that life is not meant to be held still, but experienced, embraced and danced.

For a collector, it is a particularly beautiful piece to live with: elegant and powerful, yet filled with warmth and emotion. Wherever it is placed, she seems to bring with her a little more movement, a little more light, and the feeling that something beautiful is always about to begin.
