Description
You Spell on Me is a poetic celebration of love, trust, and the extraordinary courage to open oneself fully to the other.
In this moving sculpture, Marc de Corte captures a woman suspended in a moment of deep surrender. Her body unfolds in a dance as impossible as it is graceful, her arms stretching in opposite directions, her face turned to the sky. She seems to have completely yielded to that invisible force that carries her, like a soul discovering that love can be both the most delicate vulnerability and the greatest strength.
Her posture expresses a love that does not confine, but liberates. A love that gives us the courage to reveal who we truly are, to dare, to grow, and to become a better version of ourselves. In this extraordinary gesture, she is not just dancing for someone: she is dancing because she has found the freedom to be fully herself.
There is something deeply moving in the way her body seems to defy gravity. One leg rises to the heavens while the other anchors her to the earth, creating a perfect dialogue between aspiration and grounding, surrender and inner strength. Her moving hair and slender silhouette lend the work an almost dreamlike dimension, as if love had transformed her into movement and light.
You Spell on Me invites us to remember that true intimacy begins when we dare to give ourselves without fear. Trusting the other means accepting the possibility of being transformed by love and discovering, through this transformation, a deeper and braver version of ourselves.
For a passionate collector, this sculpture offers an exceptional emotional presence. Its sensual elegance, dynamic composition, and profound symbolism make it a work capable of resonating intimately within a collection. It is not simply the image of a dancing woman; it is a tribute to the transformative power of love, a celebration of freedom, and a timeless reminder that the most beautiful version of ourselves often appears when we dare to open our hearts.
A remarkable work for a collector seeking art that touches the soul, inspires reflection, and permanently brings a sense of beauty and possibility into a living space.

Presentation
• Born in 1974 in Nieuwpoort, Belgium
• Marc De Corte proves in his work that classic and contemporary can be perfectly combined. This is why he regrets that modeling is increasingly being left behind in the teaching of contemporary art. Marc De Corte's images are born from a quest for beauty, and because they must come from his heart.
• What makes bronze statues unique and so sought after by art lovers is the movement they exude. Marc De Corte likes to draw inspiration from modern dance, but there is also a very strong Art Nouveau influence. The result is graceful images with balance as the main theme.
• In addition to a classical and more romantic language, Marc De Corte does not shy away from modern issues: his works are characterized by distance and the desire for contact in a pandemic context, the independence and strength of women, the search for one's own identity in relationships with others and maintaining mental balance as one of the main challenges for each individual strongly questioned in our society today.
