Description
"Via Lattea" was inspired by the desire to bring light and hope in the darkest of times. The female figure looks hopefully towards the sky, searching for a star that might hear her wishes.
The work is part of artist Amalia Di Tecco's artistic project entitled “Le Bomboline". These are female figures with sinuous, supple bodies, always in motion, who love sport and practise yoga… or at least try to! True enthusiasts, they love to show off their ever-changing, colourful swimwear.
These works are unique and irreplaceable. Made from papier-mâché – a material produced entirely by the artist – they are extremely light and durable: they won't break if they fall!
The painted elements are created using acrylic paints and coloured paper, and are embellished with gold leaf.
The artwork is protected by a final matt varnish, which shields it from external elements such as dust, smoke and dirt. Do not expose to direct sunlight and clean with a soft, dry cloth.
The parcel will be insured and dispatched by courier within 3 days of the order being placed, securely packaged.
Presentation
Amalia Di Tecco is an Italian artist, born in Giulianova in 1995, where she still lives and works.
She grew up among paintings and frames, in her father's artisan workshop, where she worked and presented her first drawings and paintings.
After graduating from the Art School, she decided to continue her creative journey in the world of theater, without completely abandoning her passion for painting.
With the advent of the pandemic, she was forced to leave the theater, and it was precisely in this period that she found the time and space to devote herself to new artistic research.
Thus was born the project of "Le Bomboline", papier-mâché sculptures made entirely by hand.
In her art you can see her passion for sports such as racing bike and yoga, her love for nature and the desire for lightness and sympathy.
