Description
(Warner Bros., 2005) An original concept drawing from Tim Burton's “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory," by Alex Tavoularis. The exceptionally detailed illustration features Willy Wonka in silhouette on the top deck of his ornate Wonka Boat as it floats on the factory's chocolate river. A seahorse theme would later replace the mythical creature motif shown here by Tavoularis. With an image size of 8.5" x 13.5" on 12.25" x 18" trimmed vellum, the graphite drawing is in good condition with creases, edge tears up to 0.5" long, edge wear along the slanted trim, stray marks at the top left corner, and wear from production use.
