Biographie
Jean-Robert Franco est un artiste-visuel (photographe contemporain), qui est venu à un travail artistique après avoir été photographe à l'agence Viva dans les années 80.
Son travail est reconnu dès les années 80s par la critique et les institutions : il rejoint la collection du Centre Pompidou en 1987. Depuis Jean-Robert Franco expose internationalement : Chicago, San-Francisco, Corée du sud, Pékin, St Petersbourg.
Son travail comporte plusieurs dimensions, de la photographie classique composée rigoureusement (Travail sur les bords de mer et les villes (Nice, La Havane...), aux portraits-nus, en passant par le détournement de documents sur la mémoire d'enfance et l'intimité.
