Linde Ergo
Belgium • 1967
Presentation
Linde Ergo comes from a family of artists and grew up in an art-filled home. She studied sculpture at the Academie of Arts of Uccle and obtained her Masters degree at the Academie of Fine Arts in Ghent, Belgium.
Linde moved to Manhattan in 1992 and studied further at the Sculpture Center of Manhattan for eight years. It was there that she began exhibiting her work. Today, she again gains her inspiration in Belgium, at the quaint seaside village of De Haan.
Linde's sensual, meditative sculptures express a universal language. Her intricate figures, whether standing, sitting, or embracing, evoke our deepest emotions, and explain her slow and sudden rise as a sculptor to watch on the European art scene.
She has been very busy as her latest showings have forced her to work intensely. This has brought about a new maturity to her work. The new Linde Ergo Collection is a variety of small and life size sculptures in both bronze as terracotta.
