Liselotte Andersen

Liselotte Andersen is a contemporary French-Danish sculptor born in 1968 in Frederiksberg, Denmark. Based in Provence since 2002, she previously lived in North Africa, Central Asia, Denmark, and Paris. Her professional career at UNESCO, focused on cultural diversity, peace, and the preservation of natural heritage, deeply informs her artistic work.

Primarily self-taught, Andersen refined her technique by taking classes in modeling, stone carving, and painting between 1990 and 2008. She also participated in the open workshops of the École supérieure d'art d'Aix-en-Provence from 2011 to 2014 and completed an apprenticeship in art foundry in 2016.

Her work explores human attitudes and interactions, expressed through clean lines and suggested forms. She favors materials such as bronze, clay, enamels, waxes, and pigments. Her sculptures, often figurative, evoke universal themes such as femininity, couples, family, and spirituality.

His works are also permanently visible in the PromenArts galleries in Île-de-Ré, La Baule and L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue.

Notable sculptures include Considerations (2022), a 15cm bronze piece depicting a moment of exchange, and Spirits, a 60cm work exploring the dynamics of movement.
