Biography

I consider my work as the result of an intimate creative process, which originates in the idea, which is born from my personal surroundings. I avoid working with ideas that do not have a relationship with my surroundings or that do not create a personal link with me. This is because art can only be worked using personal experiences as starting points. I often create my works with the aid of models and photographs, the models I use are friends or close relatives and the photographs I select personally, this makes of the process something personal and intimate as well as gives it one of tis main characteristics within the realist style which I practice: its personality. My work searches for perfection through the use of imperfect models and images, in other words, my work uses as its models normal people and objects, without any particular characteristic and preferably with imperfections on their surface; and reproduces them in a piece by creating an apparent perfection within their flaws.
