From archives, collected documents and photographs, London artist Suzanne Moxhay creates complex photomontages and captivating worlds. His method is inspired by an old technique used at the beginning of cinema, "matte painting". In her studio she constructs empty interior spaces, landscapes and scenes by assembling pages from books or magazines that she will cut out, old photos that she has collected, and also from her own shots. This act of handling and composing these fragments takes them away from their original context, thus expanding their narrative potential. Born in 1976, the English artist has exhibited often in England but also internationally. His performances have been published in prestigious magazines such as Aesthetica Magazine, Financial Time, Wall Street Journal or Vogue Italy.
