Description
This captivating work explores the dynamic juxtaposition of geometric shapes and vibrant colors. Placed against a deep blue background, the three-dimensional figures—spheres, cubes, cylinders, and arcs—create a balanced and harmonious composition. Each element appears to float, offering a fascinating perspective of weightlessness. The colors, ranging from vibrant pink and luminous yellow to soothing blue and purple, enhance the visual energy of the whole. The variety of shapes' sizes and positions invites the viewer to explore the depth and interactions between the elements. The soft edges and subtle transitions emerge in a visual dance that captures attention, making this work a celebration of abstraction and innovation.
Presentation
Thierry Corpet - French artist born in 1965, lives and works in Corsica
At the crossroads of visual arts and music, Thierry Corpet draws inspiration from William Burroughs' "cut-up" technique to create hybrid works, where superimpositions and geometric forms translate the emotions arising from listening. Without claiming synesthesia, he seeks to capture the ephemeral and give tangible form to what is usually perceived by the ear.
Each canvas, each sculpture becomes his visual score — an invitation to see his perception of music, to feel the forms and to listen with the eyes.
His work is regularly exhibited in France and internationally. In particular, it was presented at the "Comparaisons 2026" exhibition at the Grand Palais in Paris, in the Geometric Abstraction group.
