Biography
Hocine Zaourar was born on 18 December 1952 in Algiers, Algerian photojournalist photographer. He's been doing the photo since 1971, taught the photo and worked for several international photo agencies.
In 1974, he won the prize for the best photo of the city of Algiers and the first prize of the International Scoop and journalism Festival of Angers in 1997. The same year, he received "The World press Photo " and the Award of Excellence (Portrait category) of the World Press for the "Madonna" of Bentalha. As well as the "Bayeux prize " of the war correspondents.
Today he dedicates himself to the photo of art giving a picture of Algeria realistic and poetic.
