Coderch & Malavia

Coderch and Malavia refers to a common project involving two Spanish sculptors, Joan Coderch and Javier Malavia. The first one is born in 1959 and studied at the Fine Arts School in Barcelona. The second one is born in 1970, graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Valencia. The company deals in porcelain sculpture, both their works bought them together. In 2015, they got involved in an artistic project together. Since then, the two artists work and live in Valencia.

Their figurative sculptures have the same theme, a favorite with both the artists, mainly theater and bull-fighting, mythology. Man, life are the main element of their creation. As a consequence of this choice, they give prominence to movement, which makes their sculptures particularly expressive.

Despite their young project, Coderch & Malavia have participated in more than 15 group and solo exhibitions, obtained several awards and won competitions. Some of their work is even part of private collections in various countries of Europe, Asia and America.
