Translation in progress

Following the illustrations for the role play VII LEGIO, and the book INTRODUZIONE ALLA ZOOLOGIA FANTASTICA, Silvio Cadelo, for three decades, worked as an author and cartoonist. After the scenario of Alejandro Jodorowsky he has drawn for the magazine METAL HURLANT, THE GOD JALOUX and LA SAGA D'ALANDOR. In solo, he has created for the magazine TO FOLLOW, VOGLIADICANE-ENVIEDECHIEN and for L'ÉCHO DES SAVANES, the LOVE FLOWER. He has moved away permanently from boxes and talismans to physically resume the relationship with the reality of his imagination. In a body to body projection with large surfaces, on various supports, Cadelo has conceived the poetic concept IDEOMAGE *. Stimulated by the works of Gilles Deleuze and George Didi-Huberman on art and cinema, he finds the freedom to approach fixed and moving images, his favorite themes. Imaginary bodies are motivated by the desire to free themselves from clichés and dominant stereotypes, to renew their gaze on a world in perpetual mutation, so that it is unceasingly that of the first time and open to other possibilities. Cadelo positions himself on the fringes of the art-finance market to reconnect with what Kandinsky calls "the inner necessity" as an operative ethical principle. Defending the idea that aesthetics is an eminently ethical act by being a phenomenon that shows itself - Wittgenstein, Marie Jose Mondzain, He affirms his social status as an artist as "proletarian in possession of his means of production" and finds that the practice of all art is a process that necessarily involves thinking about the sublime.
