Inspired by an archival pair of silk shoes from Roger Vivier's collection for Dior, 1954.
Présentation
French artist Magalie Pouillard (Madame Dessine) lives and works in Paris. Her practice spans drawing, painting, and ceramics, blending the sensitivity of illustration with the materiality of fine art.
She explores themes of fashion, silhouette, and intimacy, capturing fleeting gestures with a poetic restraint.
Her watercolours and ink drawings echo the tradition of Parisian elegance, while her oil paintings reveal a quieter, more contemplative dimension — studies of light, posture, and movement.
Madame Dessine’s work celebrates the dialogue between clothing and identity, between what is seen and what remains unsaid.
She regularly collaborates with luxury houses and cultural institutions, and her pieces are held in private collections in France and abroad.
