Biography

After a decade devoted to modelling, I chose to explore painting in parallel. These years of sculpture have enabled me to work with colours, using pigments to give my work a patina.

My pictorial approach is a continuation of my recent sculptures, evolving in a non-figurative universe. My first canvases, centred on matter and colour, inspired me to explore the theme of oxidation.

Gradually, I incorporated various techniques into my canvases: acrylic, ink and oil. I remain passionate about shapes, colours and textures. Ink is fluid and quick-drying, requiring spontaneous, rhythmic execution; the mixtures of colours are the result of this reactivity, the result of controlled chance.

The superimposition of different media opens up an infinite range of creative possibilities; the interactions between the elements sometimes produce surprising and unexpected effects. The seabed and variations in the sky are my main sources of inspiration.
