Description
This captivating artwork features an abstract scene dominated by shades of blue, evoking the depths of the ocean. The fluid, almost ethereal forms appear to float freely on the canvas, creating a subtle and captivating dynamism. Touches of green and bursts of yellow and white add an extra dimension, suggesting the presence of aquatic vegetation or marine creatures. The artist masters the balance between movement and calm, offering the viewer a visual experience that is both soothing and stimulating. The bold use of color and shape makes this piece a fascinating exploration of aquatic mysteries, inviting the viewer to dive into a vibrant, imaginative world. This painting embodies the harmony between nature and abstraction, demonstrating the artist's boundless creativity.
Presentation
After ten years dedicated to modeling, I opened my practice to painting, in a natural continuation of sculpture. The latter gave me a deep relationship with matter and color, which I worked on for a long time through patinas and pigments.
My painting is part of a non-figurative language. Driven by matter and color, my first canvases led me towards the theme of oxidation, then towards an exploration mixing acrylic, ink and oil.
I work with shapes and textures, with color guiding the gesture and giving birth to the image. The ink, through its fluidity, introduces an element of spontaneity and energy, within a controlled randomness.
Through layering and friction, interior landscapes in motion emerge. Nourished by the sea and the sky, they offer the eye a space of tension and breath where the sensitive surface.
