Description
This abstract work captures the imagination with its fluid strokes and earthy color nuances. Swirling forms evoke a dynamic dance, contrasting with the bold black lines that structure the composition. Touches of red and orange energize the whole, creating a striking contrast with the soft, pastel background. Circular movements at the center draw the eye, lending a mysterious depth to the canvas. Every detail seems to tell a story of transformation and controlled chaos. The artist skillfully plays with negative space, inviting the viewer to freely interpret the organic forms. This painting embodies the tension between order and disorder and is distinguished by its ability to evoke intense emotions through a bold and expressive visual language.
Presentation
After ten years dedicated to modeling, I opened my practice to painting, in a natural continuation of sculpture. The latter gave me a deep relationship with matter and color, which I worked on for a long time through patinas and pigments.
My painting is part of a non-figurative language. Driven by matter and color, my first canvases led me towards the theme of oxidation, then towards an exploration mixing acrylic, ink and oil.
I work with shapes and textures, with color guiding the gesture and giving birth to the image. The ink, through its fluidity, introduces an element of spontaneity and energy, within a controlled randomness.
Through layering and friction, interior landscapes in motion emerge. Nourished by the sea and the sky, they offer the eye a space of tension and breath where the sensitive surface.
