Description
This artwork presents a striking juxtaposition of technology and nature, exploring the intersection of mythology, technology, and humanity's quest to understand our place in the cosmos. Drawing inspiration from Sandro Botticelli's, I offer a contemporary twist that reflects the rise of artificial intelligence and humanoid robotics.
At the center stands a humanoid robot, its metallic form seamlessly integrated with organic elements, symbolizing the convergence of AI and humanity. Surrounding the robot are three human figures, partially submerged in water, each engaging with the android in a ritualistic manner. One offers a vibrant pink lotus, symbolizing purity and rebirth, hinting at the potential harmony between human and machine.
In the backdrop, a shell-shaped craft subtly hints at the android's arrival, drawing a parallel to Venus's birth from the sea. The silhouette of an observer in the foreground adds depth, inviting viewers to contemplate the relationship between observer, participants, and the evolving concept of identity. Blending surrealism with realism, this piece offers a thought-provoking commentary on coexistence.
Was exhibited at MONAT Gallery, Madrid, Spain (September 6 – October 5, 2024), and featured in, Issue 31.
To ensure safe and cost-effective international shipping, this piece will be removed from its stretcher bars and shipped rolled in a protective tube, minimizing the risk of damage in transit. This also offers collectors the flexibility to either have it re-stretched (a simple and economical process) or custom framed to suit their space and style.

Building upon earlier figurative studies, Bianco has developed the VetroScope technique—a fusion of traditional oil painting with precision-cut vinyl overlays applied to glass within a shadowbox frame. This method introduces depth and a dynamic interplay of light and perspective, creating artworks that engage viewers from multiple angles.
Originally from Australia and now based in Italy, Bianco's practice bridges classical influences with modern techniques, inviting viewers to explore the subtleties of image, identity, perception, and to see elegance anew.
