This work is one of the pieces in Guillaume Piot's Political Animal series, representing the 2017 presidential candidates surrounded by animals. A kind of political zoomorphism. All the works gave rise to the publication of an eponymous work bringing together the 20 drawings accompanied by texts. The work is signed with the pseudonym of the artist PRAG.

This provocative and bold work of art, made in black and white, presents an unidentified human figure, deliberately represented without a face, placed in a central position at a desk. Behind this figure, two floating French flags accentuate the nationalist or political context of the web. The human figure stands plumb, arms resting on the desk in a threatening position despite the subtle smile it sports.

Below, an imposing mass of animal creatures, mainly pigs, dominates the composition. Among them, Dobermans, wild boars, suckling pigs, Rottweilers... These animals wear spiked collars, symbols of aggressiveness and domination, and their wide-open mouths exude an oppressive and Machiavellian atmosphere. Each animal seems to be represented with human traits, such as anthropomorphic creatures, accentuating the idea of a rapprochement between bestiality and dehumanizing human behavior. The black and precise lines of the ink used in the drawing add depth and a striking contrast to the work. The meticulous shading and fine details evoke a dark and critical atmosphere. The human figure, placed above these beasts, seems to reign or manipulate this chaos below, suggesting a harsh social or political criticism. The unique aspects of this work lie in his bold use of anthropomorphism to convey powerful messages about human nature, politics and power. The striking contrast between the anonymous human figure and the raged animals raises deep questions about society and our own humanity. In summary, this work is an intense and provocative reflection on society, imbued with symbolism and social criticism, carried out with impressive technical mastery and conceptual depth that cannot leave indifferent.

A bestiary of today Sacred zoo, that of Guillaume Piot who transforms politicians, faceless but recognizable, into kings of a jungle that could well represent the French! A sharp-looking draftsman, Guillaume Piot did not choose zoomorphy to portray these animals that are politicians: don't we compare them to elephants when they advance in a monolithic herd, to old foxes when cunning competes with cynicism or even with monkeys when they make fun of the world? And finally, aren't we the spectators of a sort of cattle fair when it comes to choosing the one with the best teeth to bite into France or the most beautiful panache to seduce her? A past master in animal iconography, Guillaume Piot revisits the bestiaries of yesteryear in his own way. His pencil is delicate but often biting like those pitbulls and gorillas who crowd around Marine Le Pen. And what about these vultures who frame François Fillon while the geese sound the alarm against the attackers? Surrounded by a composite courtyard, bears, giraffes, camels, Emmanuel Macron clenches his fists while Jean-Luc Mélenchon reenacts freedom guiding the people in the midst of goats and sheep. Arnaud Montebourg, him, tries to compete with a peacock making the wheel ... as for François Hollande, alone in his palace, he tries to make himself a rhinoceros leather ... and all the others are to be discovered, smile on the lips, thought in mind. These politicians have no face, but they have a name thanks to these "nice animals" who surround them to offer them a little of their mind.
