The Liminal Gallery is honored to host three prominent artists – TANC, Benjamin LAADING, and PAROLE – for its inaugural exhibition, entitled Evaporations. Evaporation, defined as the change of a liquid into vapor, symbolizes here a subtle transformation, where the artistic gesture metamorphoses into a light mist inscribed on a free surface. This almost imperceptible phenomenon creates an intriguing interaction between the creative moment and its visible result, playing with the viewer's perception.
The works presented, displayed on both canvas and paper, reflect this diversity of media while embodying a reflection on materiality. Benjamin LAADING captures a dialogue between the cosmos and matter, materializing the tension between the corporeal and the infinite. TANC, in his quest for abstraction, explores a transformation between the invisible and the landscape, where each vaporized stroke reflects a balance between impulsiveness and control. PAROLE, for its part, dissolves signs and letters, questioning their transformation into noumenal forms and returning writing to the essence of gesture.
Évaporations embodies this constant interplay between gesture, matter, and idea. Whether on canvas or paper, each work recounts a journey between abstraction, cosmos, and signs, revealing an intimate exploration of dissolution and reinvention.
