Biography

The works of Jean-Baptiste Michelet are a clever marriage between collage and drawing where the frames are also beautiful works made of noble woods such as oak.

But who better than the artist can explain his artistic approach:

“I try to reproduce unconscious mental assemblies.

One could approach the concept of automatic writing (automatic thought) of the surrealists.

The principle is therefore to be on the lookout for the connections made by the brain, in order to recreate a heterogeneous personal imagery born of references, of suffered images, reappropriated by drawing and remodeled in anachronistic collages."
