Biography

Israel Beltrán is a plastic artist and architect born in Cochabamba, Bolivia in 1941. His works have been exhibited in galleries and exhibition halls since 1969, throughout Bolivia, but also in multiple locations in the United States, Italy, Spain, Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, and the United Kingdom.

Israel Beltrán comments about his work: “My work can be framed within the contemporary abstract movement, but it does not correspond to any particular trend. My work is based on the action in front of the imaginary gesture, the improvisation, taking place in the act of painting itself. You could say that it is merely informal, both in the use of mater and form, as well as color."
