Iravazi

Irina Karamfilova-Tursunova was born on July 25th, 1960, in Sofia, Bulgaria. Her childhood dream was to become an artist.

During the communist era the reality in Bulgaria was quite different though. Fate had chosen a different path for Irina. She studied electronics and started working in a factory. After the democratic changes in 1989, Irina established a private business, which operated successfully until 2008.

Now that she had more free time to devote to herself, Irina's passion for art was rekindled. She experimented with many forms of art before discovering her favorite - mosaics. A few years later she started the IRAVAZI project - mosaics made from eggshells in their natural colors.

IRAVAZI started as a Facebook page and quickly gained popularity in social media. IRAVAZI is a project with an idealistic goal - the author's personal experience and satisfaction.
