Sculptor, painter, serigraphist, he was trained by two masters in Cameroonian visual arts: Jean Kouam Tawadje and Joseph Francis Sumégné, winners of several arts competitions in Cameroon (2006: 2nd prize of the international competition of the ICCPPC; 2005: 1st prize of sculpture in the 18th art contest of the CPS of Mbalmayo).
He works on topics as diverse as peace, justice or human identity.
His experiments in sculptures of recovery have given series such as Goodbye wars, The poetry of the metal, The digital destiny. Anxious to meet and share, he participated in the projects of theatrical, cinematographic or animation creations. His works are periodically visible in exhibitions in Africa, the United States as well as in Europe.
In some formations he teaches in Cameroonian and German schools with a hybrid methodology based on his professional experience as well as on the approaches of creations observed in other artists.
He participated in numerous exhibitions in Cameroon (Doual'art, Hilton, Foumban Institute of Fine Arts ...) and abroad Cape Town Art Fair-South Africa; Gallery Maxanart Biarritz; Gängeviertel Hamburg, Hamburg-Germany; Egypt (CAN 2006).
Dieudonné Fokou draws his aspiration in the human condition, his encounters, his experience. It then literally gives a new life to the recovery materials (plastic, electronic charts, iron, copper) that are supposed to die.
