Biography

Born in Paris in 1980. In 2004, he completed his studies in Paris and graduated with a Masters in Marketing. In 2006, passionate about music and art, he left for New York where he joined the famous I.A.R. to study sound. Between 2006 and 2015, he worked in the cinema as a composer and sound designer on film music. Between 2006 – 2019, he simultaneously travels through the unusual and secret New York with his cameras, and is passionate about the Polaroid, he meets great New York photographers who recognize his work.

In 2019, collaboration with Konny Steding who makes stencils on his photos; collective exhibition of his large format Polaroids at the P/CAS show in Paris. In 2020, collective exhibition COLORS. In 2021, group exhibitions CROSSOVER and IN BETWEEN.

A human jukebox, here is a good definition of the work of Romain who interprets without failing a myriad of emotions. The palette of his emotions is reflected in the more or less faded, overexposed or darkened colors of his Polaroids.
