Biography
The painter Picard has always had a strong taste for drawing and painting, first in watercolor and now in acrylic.
A career in high-end textiles was combined for several years with a first specific practice very appreciated at that time, namely press and humor drawing as a "freelancer" for various Parisian and regional newspapers.
He then used watercolors to sometimes enhance his drawings or for full-fledged creations.
But it was above all the acrylic on canvas technique that ultimately suited him best and from which he never turned away, adapting it to his personal aspirations. Thus applied with a brush or a knife depending on the desired effects, the palette used was rather limited and consisted essentially of semi-transparent or transparent colors "whose implementation was more restrictive but which suited me better in their final rendering" confides the painter.
Local and then regional exhibitions gradually demonstrated a certain interest among visitors in his work. This was followed by two highly commendable selections for the Salon des Artistes Français at the Grand Palais and that of a major multinational company seeking his artistic needs.
It was in Le Havre that a first gallery hosted his paintings for several years before a second gallery then approached him to exhibit successfully in Saint Rémy de Provence.
The logical next step is now his presence on Artsper where he has the pleasure of presenting his recent acrylic paintings, always free of any constraint of messages or concepts other than that of the essential pleasure of seeing them catch your eye.
