Bronze Sculpture for Sale
ANTON comes from graffiti and has since opened himself up to many artistic practices, with a particular affinity for metalwork.
Antonin Voisin, also known as Anton, born on April 21, 1972 in Paris
He practiced graffiti from 1987 to 2000 on the walls and rooftops of Paris. In 2001, he met sculptor Philippe Björn, who introduced him to monumental sculpture. In collaboration with Björn, he created several projects for public spaces, experimenting with living plants as a material in sculpture: The Hanging Orchard, The Vertical Vegetable Garden, The Bondage Garden, and later, several solo projects, including a mobile orangery in the form of a shipping container.
“Plants bear witness to my experiments in staging the paradox of city life. They are artifacts born from the interactions of seemingly opposing forms and materials, creating new situations. Living things establish themselves and generate varied forms due to their environment. Opportunistic and often hardier plants take advantage of this establishment and develop in an invasive manner. Then another living being intervenes: humankind, which selects, sorts, prunes, or simply lets things be out of curiosity." Man, himself torn between nature and civilization. Man who wants to tame nature to serve him, but also man fascinated by the beauty and richness of what he cannot control. The urban space is a privileged place to highlight these experiences. Public space allows me to present my work and tell stories that lead us to take a step back and journey into a little-known, everyday world.
In parallel, he set up an association with REONER to organize events in public spaces and created installations in Parisian train stations and on the Place Carrée for the Nuit Blanche festival in 2009. This V3M structure has hosted young artists in residence and encouraged self-taught artists since 2013. Mastering steel and wood techniques, he also collaborated with TEURK on several installations, including the Street-Art Museum in Saint Petersburg, Urban Spree in Berlin, Black Market in Paris, and Safari Urbain in Toulouse. He enjoys new artistic experiments, which gives his work an eclectic character.
