Bronze Sculpture for Sale
"For me, the figure is an inner landscape, where every emotion becomes flesh, between silence and cry, presence and absence."
Originally from western France, Laurence Cornou lives and works in Paris. A graduate of the ENSBA Paris (Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts), with highest honors, she also holds the bronze medal of the City of Paris, and is a member of the Taylor Foundation, ADAGP and the Maison des Artistes.
As a draughtswoman and painter, she mainly uses charcoal, dry and oil pastels, pencil, ballpoint pen, paint and ink, but also mixed techniques such as fire, salt and dust.
The concept of the figure has always permeated his work, asserting itself from his earliest drawings. It is "landscape" as much as "figure," flesh tones and efflorescence. It is the support of the soul upon which every emotion, feeling, and tremor can take on flesh. Outside/inside, cry/silence, absence/presence.
She exhibits regularly in contemporary art fairs and galleries: with DF Art Project in Paris (Parc floral de Paris, Galerie E. de Causans, Orangerie de la Serre Parc André Citroen…), the Compagnie des Œillets in Ivry sur Seine (Printemps des Poètes, Salon des Petits formats, Portes ouvertes…), at the Cachan and Nancy Biennales, at the Art Capital (Paris), Mifac (Angoulême), Puls'Art (Le Mans), Artcité (Fontenay sous Bois), Figuration Critique (Paris) fairs, in the Label Friche (Nogent le Rotrou), Beausoleil (Monaco), Le Génie de la Bastille (Paris), L&V (Dijon) galleries, etc.
