Sezam

Sezam was born in the North-Eastern Paris suburbs in 1974 and discovered graffiti in 1991 from his friends. In 1992, he gets a taste of how incredible graffiti painting can be, when he tags the interiors of the suburban train RER A.

1993 is a decisive year for Sezam as he paints his first graffiti on a train of the Sait Lazare line. In 1994 he discovers European graffiti in The Netherlands, Belgium and Great Britain. In 1995 he founds a crew with his "vandam" friends, "D77", and they paint close to 1000 trains until 1998 when Sezam has to do his military service. Sezam refines his style and takes part in some festivals in France and abroad.

Despite his late arrival on the graffiti scene, he is one of the main artists of vandal graffiti, and managed to never get arrested. As he says himself "I went from my neighborhood to the New York subway, from the police station to the Grand Palais, I worked in most European capitals, graffiti saved my life".
