Biography

David Chansard, self-taught artist, one day discovers a set of old manuscripts intended for the pestle. Saving them from destruction, he now decides to let his inspiration be guided by these secular supports. Each drawing is guided by a fragment of ancient text or the arrangement of calligraphy. These now obscure texts take on a new meaning and a new existence. An Art that draws on ancient roots, RootArt.
