Wxyz transforms his letters into minimalist figurines: small square graffiti dolls, supports between painting and sculpture, mixing wood, concrete, ceramic and even Lego.
Biography
Wxyz is a French painter and sculptor born in Paris in 1980.
Coming from the Graffiti movement, his favorite theme is the deformation of the last 4 letters of the alphabet.
In these works the letter serves as a pretext for the exploration of colors and shapes, as a skeleton for abstraction.
Since the confinement linked to Covid-19, the artist has developed a universe of wooden figurines painted with acrylic.
