Nike Seifert

Nike Seifert (born 1970 in Hanover) is a German artist living and working in Cologne. 

Her painting moves between abstraction and subtle figurative hints: in layered processes, she applies and removes chalk, pigments, glues and varnishes, creating relief-like surfaces and powerful, tactile picture spaces. 

Her works evoke associations like landscapes, rock formations or organic structures without ever being clearly defined – an open dialogue between material, intuition and perception. Seifert studied painting and drawing in the masterclass of Prof. Markus Lüpertz at the Academy of Fine Arts Kolbermoor. 

Before that, she completed an apprenticeship as a gilder and worked for many years as an independent gilder, which shaped her special sensitivity to surface, structure and craftsmanship.

 Her work has been shown in numerous solo and group exhibitions, including Art Karlsruhe (One‑Artist Show), ART.FAIR Cologne, AAF Amsterdam, Arte Padova, Lucca Art Fair as well as exhibitions in Cologne, Bonn, Vienna, Strasbourg and the Ruhr area. Nike Seifert's pieces are in private and public collections both domestically and abroad.
