Philipp Weber

Philipp Weber, born in 1974 in Rostock, Germany, is a recognized German contemporary artist for his hyperrealistic paintings and his exceptional mastery of figurative oil painting. Through monumental compositions inspired by photographic aesthetics, fashion, cinema, and art history, the artist explores the boundary between outward appearance and inner truth. His work, often associated with contemporary hyperrealism and surrealism, is distinguished by an approach that goes beyond the simple reproduction of reality: as he explains, his goal is not to "maximize details," but to "maximize feeling."

From childhood, Philipp Weber revealed an artistic talent that was encouraged and developed. He began his artistic training in Kassel before pursuing his studies at the prestigious Berlin University of the Arts (Universität der Künste Berlin), where he obtained his master's degree. This academic training nourishes a practice based on technical research, the precision of gesture, and the exploration of the expressive possibilities of realistic painting.

Philipp Weber's work focuses mainly on the representation of female figures, often placed in aquatic or symbolic environments.
