Biography
'TTOZOI', pseudonym of the two artists from Avellino Stefano Forgione (1969, eclectic architect) and Pino Rossi (1972, degree in economics and artist with twenty years of painting experience).
The original artistic research of 'TTozoi' consists in the creation of works through the proliferation of mold on canvas, allowing these to 'naturally' become an artistic event."The spores - explain the artists - devoid of any formal and technical memory, do not determine more an execution, but an act that ends with natural creation. We do not create new events but we know how to make them happen, leaving the narration of the works to a natural automatism disconnected from any descriptive intent".
If we consider that historically conceptual art has always tried to free art itself from the formal and cultural constraints of tradition, so much so as to reach the point of repudiating perspective, history, form and above all nature, with TTozoi there is a very violent perspective twist , thanks to which it is precisely from that humiliated nature that the new "naturally informal" conceptualism is reborn. They therefore reinterpret creative magic no longer as a 'gesture', but as a 'non-gesture', a 'vacuum of intervention' which crystallized the spontaneous and unpredictable natural generation forever in that lyrical dimension which they define as 'informal, naturally absolute' . The project, despite being included among emerging artistic research, boasted the authoritative criticism of Prof. Luca Beatrice, former Curator of the Italian Pavilion at the 2009 Venice Biennale, on the occasion of the debut exhibition held in the two exhibition rooms of the Monumental Complex of Castel dell'Ovo in Naples (5-20 March 2010).
