Vincenzo Schiavio (Gorla di Veleso, 1888 - Como, September 9, 1954) was an Italian painter.

With the untimely death of his son by Carlo, an industrialist and mayor of Veleso, the constraint is to leave the boarding school and earn a living working in the textile factory of a few relatives. He took part in the Great War as an alpine skier on the Adamello, and it was in this circumstance that his passion for painting, to which he devoted his whole life, working in the workshop on Via Dottesio 3 in Como. The dominant theme of his works has always been the mountain. The former embraces the techniques of divisionism, thanks to his friendship with Baldassare Longoni and Carlo Fornara. But soon he moves to a dry realism and finally to a very personal style with which he represents alpine landscapes and country visions. The exhibition his works in many individual and group exhibitions, including the Venice Biennale in 1950 and the Rome Quadrennial in 1951. He died in Como on September 9, 1954, along with incurable diseases. His works are preserved in the Civic Art Gallery of Como and in various private Lombard collections.
